Thomas Buergenthal is the Lobingier Professor of Comparative Law and Jurisprudence at George Washington University Law School. He is a former judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Sean D. Murphy is the James Monroe Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a former president of the American Society of International Law and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
